About

Strategy Synthesis is a publication about business strategy and the history that produced it — capitalism and economic systems, accounting and financial history, leadership and decision-making, and the technology that keeps reorganising how organisations work.

The approach

Each piece starts with something that actually happened. A company, a ledger, a decision, a collapse. It is examined closely enough to be worth reading on its own terms, and then followed through to what it means for a question someone is facing now.

That connection is the point. History used as evidence rather than decoration, and strategy discussed with the specifics left in.

What it is not

Not a news summary, not a listicle, and not advice detached from the conditions that produced it. Pieces are long because the argument needs the length, and infrequent for the same reason.

Formats

Written essays are the foundation. Audio and video may follow, either adapting a piece or exploring the same subject differently — but nothing will appear in every format for its own sake.

The full statement is still being written. What is above describes the subject matter this publication covers.
